"A virtual poetic celebration of 'Day of the Dead', honors the faithful departed and celebrates life and the traditional and contemporary arts directly associated with this beautiful festivity. With an original script, the story begins with the ritual migration of the monarch butterfly, creatively unfolding form and meaning from various entry points to the arts, using the metaphor as in the yellow river of marigolds, the river seen as a place where life and death intertwine or, the artist in the forest with a clay dish of fresh marigold flowers alluding to the relation of art and nature. OFRENDA is a space for reflection and creative dialogue between life and death, remembrance and celebration, tradition and contemporaneity. It celebrates the flower of CEMPOALXÓCHITL as "the queen of the party of the gone", the OFRENDA, as art installation, the family altars as a living tradition, recreated in a community ALTAR OFRENDA DE VIDA / LIVING OFRENDA. It celebrate the visual arts, poetry, music and song, the languages of our native peoples, guardians of rituals, the art of preparing the velvety black mole, the orange blossom bread of the dead, chocolate espumado, the culture of the milpa, a wise and ancient agricultural system of corn and biodiversity, and all those who continue to produce "In xóchitl, In cuicátl / Flor y canto" for 'Dia de muertos'. To all those people fallen in the
Covid-19 pandemia.
"35 years after first introducing the tradition of the dead and the ofrendas in Canada and in the uncertain times we live in today, it offers an opportune message to the 21st century: the strength and fragility of life, creative thinking, relationship with nature, and the collective meaning of the day of the
dead.

Celebra la flor de CEMPOALXÓCHITL como "la reina de la fiesta de los idos", la OFRENDA, como arte instalación, los altares familiares como tradición viva, recreados en un ALTAR OFRENDA DE VIDA / LIVING OFRENDA comunitario. Celebra las artes visuales, la poesía, la música y el canto, las lenguas de nuestros pueblos originarios, guardianes de rituales, el arte de preparar la aterciopelado mole negro, el pan de muerto a flor de azahar, el chocolate espumoso, la cultura de la milpa, sabio y milenario sistema agrícola de biodiversidad, y a todos quienes continúan produciendo "In xóchitl, In cuicátl / Flor y canto" para día de muertos."A todos los caídos en la pandemia de Covid-19.
